“Creation Chant” is the most complete record yet from Kūka'ilimoku, cementing their status as the undisputed icon of Hawaiian black metal.
Standing as perhaps the sole entity in the genre channeling the power of Hawaiian deities, they bring once again the fusion of pounding punk’s liberatory zeal and black metal’s savage grandeur.
Here, music is recast in the indigenous mythology of Hawaiʻi’s living landscape. It is an invocation, a warning, and a promise that from darkness and flame, new creation always arises.
